Now, originally I planned to include full critiques in character for each match. But, seeing as only a third of the matches were actually, well, matches, I'm not sure that it would really be worth the time and effort. As always, if you are unsure of anything in my judgings, feel free to ask here. I don't bite much and will likely answer you, albeit not always immediately.

Before we start, I'd like to say a short word about gimmicks in entries. If you speak fluent German and want to do a round in all German feel free, but don't do a round in German if you do not. If you have practice in Flash, go ahead and make an interactive entry, but if you have no idea what you are doing, refrain. Watercolors? Great, if you can make them work. Hell, if you think you can adequately manage a round in live action photographs or video, more power to you. But above all else, when considering a gimmick, make sure that you can actually pull it off. Online translators butcher grammar and syntax, leaving your (probably beautifully worded in English) entry reading like a first grader's story about their dreams. Likewise with new mediums. If you don't know how to use them and make them look good, don't present them here. This is a competition, despite the apparent lack of participation. And, despite being guilty of it personally in the past, do not switch media partway through your entry. It looks unprofessional and, frankly, brings down the quality of the work as a whole. I'm a writer. I understand that it uses less material than other mediums when you need to crank out an entry at the last minute, but to whip it out because it is "easier" to finish an entry leaves me having to read rushed crap. Put some actual effort in here or don't consider moving on.

Also, keep in mind that random events are required. If you do not have them (or your opponent), I count your entry as a spectator piece, simple as that.
